Ron Tirey, a member of the maintenance staff for the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek School District, has been a staple at Bellbrook High School for over a quarter-century. He has coached baseball at various times, but has always expertly curated our grass athletic fields.

Over the years, Ron has shown he will do anything for our school and the kids in our community. He works seven days a week to cut the grass and keep our fields in great condition. Ron also takes care of our stadium, ensuring it is clean seven days a week if we have events scheduled.

“We are blessed to have Mr. Tirey here at Bellbrook and I have no idea what we will do without him when he retires in a few years,” Athletic Director Charlie O’Dell said.

Because of his work, Tirey was nominated for and received the Friend of Athletics & Media Award and was recognized March 8 at the boys basketball District Final games at the Cintas Center. Tirey joins Nick Falzerano (2024), Bob Pugh, Jim Pugh (2018) and Steve Berryhill (2017) as award recipients from Bellbrook schools.
